The Business Training Alliance: A unique alliance of the Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Chambers of Commerce and the Corporate Center at CSM to help companies improve their technical, operational and leadership skills through solution based, customized training programs. We seek measurable results and total customer satisfaction.
The Business Training Alliance accommodates the small business community by making available the same workforce training opportunities that have previously been accessible to large corporations. Benefits are: Reduced training costs; selection of training subjects; input on curriculum for solution based training; flexible delivery method, time and location; exposure to best practices; and, instruction by industry experts.

CSM-Naval Surface Warfare Center-Indian Head Division (NSWC-IHD): The CSM and NSWC-IHD have enjoyed a robust relationship for many years. This partnership has flourished with the implementation of Workforce 2010 initiative, reflected in a more formal partnership agreement for professional development support. The mission of the CSM-NSWC-IHD collaboration is to ensure that NSWC-IHD training and educational needs are met to maintain workforce excellence now and in the future.
Education
Development Dimensions International (DDI): DDI’s training and development programs are built around competencies (also known as dimensions) and are designed to give people at all levels the skills they need to be increasingly effective in their jobs. All of our DDI training is led by certified instructors specifically recognized for their training competency and behavior modeling skills.
American Management Association (AMA): CSM has partnered with the American Management Association to bring business professionals the training they need to gain the competitive edge in today's marketplace. Offering both a Certificate in Management and a Certificate in Supervision, there is something for every business professional. CSM also offers a wide variety of courses in economics, personal finance, safety, security, and legal studies.
Project Management Institute (PMI): The Corporate Center at CSM is a PMI registered education provider. PMI professional credentials are widely recognized and accepted throughout the world as evidence of a proven level of education, knowledge and experience in project management. The Corporate Center instructors are certified Project Management Professionals. Training can be customized to the client's needs.
Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM): The College has formed an alliance with the Society of Human Resource Managers to offer training designed to benefit all member of the human resource function. These courses will benefit both those entering the world of HR or looking to pursue the PHR® or SPHRTM designation.
The SHRM® Essentials of Human Resource Management course is designed for entry-level HR professionals, those exploring HR as a career field, and team leaders with supervisory accountability. It is also appropriate for HR professionals, such as staffing specialists, whose experience has been in a single function area.
The SHRM® Learning System course provides an in-depth study of key areas in human resource management and is intended for those pursuing the PHR® or SPHRTM designation.
National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER): The College has formed an alliance with the National Center for Construction Education and Research to offer training designed to benefit all students interested in pursuing careers in the construction industry.
